Nikiah Dawson, BS
Research Assistant

Nikiah Dawson has been involved in biomedical research for the past 8 years.  She graduated from the University of Delaware in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, majoring in animal science.  In 2002, Nikiah began to use her undergraduate training while working for the National Institute for Dental and Craniofacial Research at the NIH.  Nikiah worked in the Gene Targeting Facility, managing the generation of Transgenic mice.  She continues to use her knowledge and experience with transgenic mice to assist in creating animal models to better understand the mechanisms of human diseases.
