FOLIGO’s products respond to the needs of the epithelial ovarian cancer market. They represent a significant contribution towards a paradigm shift from the “one-size-fits-all” chemotherapy cocktail currently used in standard practice for treating ovarian cancer. FOLIGO’s therapeutic and diagnostic products capitalize on elevated levels of an ovarian cancer marker found in malignant tissue and blood sera of ovarian cancer patients.

FOLIGO 002™
FOLIGO 002™ is a DNA-based therapeutic that “knocks down” a protein associated with ovarian carcinogenesis. FOLIGO 002™ employs an “antisense DNA oligonucleotide” platform. This technology uses a piece of DNA that “turns off” cell production of disease genes. The advantages of FOLIGO 002™ for ovarian cancer treatment include 1) high specificity toward disease tissue 2) dramatic reduction of side effects as compared to non-selective chemotherapeutics.

OvaDetect™
OvaDetect™ is a blood sera test that measures the levels of a soluble protein found in ovarian cancer patients. It has the potential to be used for 1) detecting ovarian cancer, 2) monitoring progression of disease and 3) identifying which patients are likely to respond to FOLIGO 002™. If successful, OvaDetect™ can revolutionize diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer leading in turn to improvements in survival for women contracting the disease.
